SAN FRANCISCO, July 8, 2015 – Super Lawyers has named seven Barg Coffin Lewis & Trapp, LLP partners to its 2015 “Northern California Super Lawyers” list and one associate to its 2015 “Northern California Rising Stars” list. Both lists are set to be featured in Northern California Super Lawyers Magazine and the August issue of San Francisco magazine.

Published annually by Thomson Reuters, the “Northern California Super Lawyers” selections are made using a patented multiphase process that includes a statewide survey of lawyers, an independent research evaluation of candidates based on peer recognition and professional achievement and peer reviews by practice area. No more than five percent of eligible lawyers in Northern California receive the distinction.

Firm practice areas represented by Super Lawyers selectees include Environmental; Environmental Litigation; Air Quality and Climate Change; Brownfields; Chemical Regulation; Land Use, Development and Natural Resources; Proposition 65; and Water Quality.

The following Barg Coffin partners have been selected as 2015 Super Lawyers:

Barg, Coffin, and Gilhuly have been named to the “Northern California Super Lawyers” list every year since its inception in 2004.

The 2015 Northern California Rising Stars list also recognizes the top up-and-coming attorneys in the region – those who are 40 years old or younger or who have been practicing law for 10 years or less. No more than 2.5 percent of the Northern California Bar received the distinction, including attorney David M. Metres in Environmental Litigation. This is Metres' first selection to the Rising Stars list.
