SAN FRANCISCO, July 7, 2017 – Super Lawyers has named five Barg Coffin Lewis & Trapp, LLP partners to its 2017 “Northern California Super Lawyers” list, and one associate to its 2017 “Northern California Rising Stars” list.

Only five percent of eligible lawyers in Northern California receive the Super Lawyer distinction. Selections are made following an extensive annual statewide survey of lawyers, along with independent evaluation of candidates based on professional achievement and peer reviews by practice area.

The following Barg Coffin partners have been selected as 2017 Super Lawyers:

John F. Barg, Partner – Environmental
Richard C. Coffin, Partner – Environmental Litigation
R. Morgan Gilhuly, Partner – Environmental Litigation
Brian S. Haughton, Partner – Environmental
Stephen C. Lewis, Partner – Environmental Litigation

Barg, Coffin, and Gilhuly have been named to the “Northern California Super Lawyers” list in Environmental Law and/or Environmental Litigation every year since its inception in 2004.

Additionally, attorney David Metres was named to the “Northern California Rising Stars” list for Environmental Law for the third year in a row. This list recognizes the top 2.5 percent of Northern California attorneys who are 40 years old or younger or who have been practicing law for 10 years or less.

Published annually by Thomson Reuters, both Super Lawyer lists will be featured in the August 2017 issues of Northern California Super Lawyers Magazine and San Francisco magazine.
