BARG COFFIN’S DAVID METRES HONORED WITH STATE BAR OF CALIFORNIA REAL PROPERTY LAW SECTION’S “MORNING STAR” AWARD

SAN FRANCISCO, Feb. 25, 2014 – Barg Coffin Lewis & Trapp, LLP attorney David M. Metres has been selected by the State Bar of California’s Real Property Law Section as one of five recipients of its “Morning Star” award – recognizing young real property lawyers who have demonstrated early dedication to the State Bar.

Metres and other “Morning Star” recipients will be honored on May 3 as part of the section’s annual retreat, taking place this year at Tenaya Lodge in Yosemite National Park. 
 
Metres advises clients on regulatory, enforcement and litigation matters arising under federal, state and local land use and environmental laws, including the Clean Water Act (CWA); the Comprehensive Environmental Response, Compensation and Liability Act (CERCLA); the Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA); the federal and California Endangered Species Acts and the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA).
 
A frequent writer, Metres has been published by the Hastings Law Journal, Law360,  the environmental trade publication Today’s Facility Manager and is a regular contributor to the firm’s blog – the Environmental Law Diary. He is a graduate of the University of California, Hastings College of the Law (J.D., 2010) and Northwestern University (B.A., 2002).
