Since the passage of the Comprehensive Environmental Response, Compensation, and Liability Act (CERCLA) in 1980, cost recovery and contribution actions involving government agencies and private parties have been a major part of our practice. We have successfully litigated and concluded a substantial number of these lawsuits on behalf of both plaintiffs and defendants, and are currently involved in both the counseling and litigation aspects of actions in California and other states.
